Rodney and Janis Brinkerhoff of Fairview, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Haley to Dakota Dale Houghton, son of Dale and SherRon Houghton of Heber City on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Spring City. A reception will be held in their honor at the Historic Spring City church from 5-7 p.m. that evening.

Haley graduated from North Sanpete High School in 2012, Snow College, 2017 and Utah State University, 2018 with a degree in Recreation Resource. She is currently working as a framer for John Brinkerhoff Construction.

Dakota graduated from Wasatch High School in 2012. He is a crew foreman for Westland Construction.

Haley is the granddaughter of Dan and Ruth Brinkerhoff, Fairview and the late Allan and Luana Green of Ephraim.

Dakota is the grandson of the late Stanley and Emma Houghton of Orem and Paul and Sybil Haderlie of Orem.

open house will be held in their honor Friday, Feb. 15, from 6-8 p.m. at the Fairview Rock Church (131 E. 100 North). Collin and Aubrie will both graduate from Snow College this spring. Collin served a mission for The Church of Latter-day Saints in the Tuscon, Arizona Spanish-speaking Mission.

Jared and Tevera Greene of Manti, are delighted to announce the marriage of their daughter, Shayla Greene to Jordan Howe, son of Joe and Kjirsten Howe, of Ephraim.  They will be married in the Manti Temple on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019. A reception will be held in their honor that evening at the Manti Stake Center, 555 E Union St., from 5:30-8 p.m. Shayla and Jordan are both 2016 graduates from Manti High School and Seminary. They both served faithful missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Shayla served in the California Anaheim
Mission and Jordan served in the West Virginia Charleston Mission. They will make their first home in Ephraim as they continue their education at Snow College. Bill and Laurie Davis are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Heather Brook Davis, to Tanner Evans Mieure, son of Steven and Christiane Mieure on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019 in the Manti Utah Temple. An open house will also be held Saturday, Feb. 16 from 1-3 p.m. in the Sharon Park church, 200 E. 200 North in Orem. Heather is a 2013 graduate of Gunnison Valley High School and Seminary. She was active in drill team and played saxophone in band. She graduated from Snow College with her associate of science degree. She also graduated from Snow College-Richfield with a cosmetology/barbering license,
and is currently employed in a salon in Utah County. Tanner is a 2012 graduate of Orem High School and Seminary. He was active in football and was a theater tech. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Monterey, Mexico Mission. He is employed in a plumbing apprenticeship program at MATC. Heather’s grandparents are Sandra Brown and the late Donald Welch and Betty Davis and the late William Davis. Both Braxton and Mikaela are 2016 Manti High School graduates and will be continuing their education at Snow College.  Braxton recently returned from serving a two-year mission in the Urguay Montevideo West Mission. They will make their first home in Manti.

Braxton is the grandson of Roy and Katherine Crouch, Les and Connie Good, and Heidi and Richard Taylor.  Mikaela is the granddaughter of Greg and Janet Maylett, and Doug and Joyce Cox.

McKell Amanda Salmon and Lowry Clinton Walker Akers are pleased to announce their marriage on Oct. 10, 2018 in Provo.

McKell is the daughter of Steve and Stephanie Salmon of Orem. She has two older brothers and an older sister. She was born and raised in Orem. Lowry Akers is the son of Bill and Linda Akers of Sterling.

Lowry and McKell met through a mutual friend (whom they are still close friends with) in 2012, Lowry had just finished playing football at Snow College and McKell was playing soccer at Utah Valley University. They developed a close friendship that has transformed into the love they share today.

Lowry and McKell began dating in April after a vacation to Hawaii with several friends. What finally sealed the deal for Lowry was meeting McKell’s sweet daughter, Nora. They love playing sports together, playing at the park, and spending time together as a family.

They couple plans to go to Vancouver, British Columbia for their honeymoon.

The bride is a graduate of Davis High School.  She is studying graphic design and will graduate from Utah Valley University in December.  She is employed at IdealFit in Lindon.  Her grandparents are Kenneth and Colleen Clifford, Salt Lake City, and Delia Perez, El Salvador.

The bridegroom is a graduate of North Sanpete High School.  He received his associate degree from Southern Utah University and will continue his education at the University of Utah where he is studying engineering.  He is employed at Orbcomm in Salt Lake City.  His grandparents are Thomas and Dora Allred, Spring City.

The couple will make their home in South Jordan while they are attending school.

Forbes~Tibbs

Nicholas Evan Tibbs and Jessica Anne Forbes are excited to share the news of their upcoming wedding at Lionscrest Manor near Lyons, Colorado on March 9, 2018.  They will celebrate with family and friends in this beautiful mountainous location midway between their Utah and South Dakota families.

Nicholas is the son of David and Carol Tibbs from Manti, Utah.  Nick graduated from Manti High School and Snow College.  He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California.  Nick is enjoying living by the ocean and forests of California and all  the recreation that represents.

Jessica is the daughter of Richard and Teresa Forbes, and Melissa and John Horvath of Rapid City, South Dakota.  Jess graduated from Central High School and later moved to South Lake Tahoe, California where she and Nick met.  She is currently working in California, helping support Nick through school and will then return to school as well.

Nick and Jess have two beautiful dogs, Appa and Rookie, and spend their free time hiking with them on the beaches and in the redwood forests of Humboldt County.
