MOAB—The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs suffered another defeat last Friday at the hands of Grand County, losing 28-14.

The Bulldogs were keeping it close in the first quarter, but big plays continued to get through the Bulldogs’ defense. Grand quarterback Taylor Horton passed for 106 yards on only two completions, one for a touchdown.

Bulldogs quarterback Kris Edwards struggled, going 10 of 24 for only 115 yards and one interception. Gunnison running back Kyler White, however, had some success in the midst of turmoil, scoring two touchdowns.

Ultimately, the Bulldog defense was torn apart by the Grand rush attack, who, led by Horton, scored three rushing touchdowns and had 344 yards total.

The Bulldogs have a good chance for victory this coming Friday as they host a winless North Summit team in Gunnison. The Braves were steamrolled last Friday by Beaver, with a final score of 55-20.
