Ribbon cutting postponed at middle school

Plans have been postponed for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the solar array at North Sanpete Middle School.

According to North Sanpete School District Superintendent Sam Ray, Rocky Mountain Power added the additional requirement of effective grounding for the system at the last minute. This necessitated engineering work and meant the school district had to order extra transformers.

The power system is scheduled to be online by the end of February, and once the system is operational, a new ribbon-cutting ceremony will be scheduled.

Two weeks ago, the school district had a major power bump that affected several systems, including PowerSchool.

District and school technology staff have worked to remedy this situation. Staff at all the schools have been working to assure that all grading information is restored.

Gunnison Valley High School

Today there is a morning assembly, and tomorrow students can dress up in retro Bulldog attire and participate in Bubble Ball (fifth-quarter activity).

On Saturday, the winter ball will be held at the school at 9 p.m.
