MT PLEASANT—The North Sanpete High School choir performed its year-end concert last Wednesday, April 13, in the school auditorium.
Directing the choir was Timothy Kidder, who has been choir director since 2012. Mary Hood joined the choir this January as accompanist.
“The transition has been interesting,” Kidder said. “But she is a great accompanist.”
Kidder said that the students’ favorite piece in the concert was “Jabberwocky,” but Kidder said his own favorite number was “Good Night, Dear Heart”.
“Every performance is different, we do different pieces, and there are different students in the ensemble, so the experience is always different” from concert to concert, he said.
Kidder said that he is really proud of the group of students this year. He said they’ve been great to work with all year and haven’t let anything distract them from becoming a great choir.
