Clyde Ray Peterson of Gunnison, Utah, passed away peacefully on Sept. 25, 2026, at the age of 96 years old.

He was born on Oct. 7, 1929, in Gunnison to parents Ben and Rachel Peterson. He had seven brothers and sisters.

He married the love of his life, Norma Hendrickson, on Sept. 3, 1954, and they shared 72 wonderful years of marriage.

Together they raised their children, Tracy Peterson Lindau and Jeffrey Peterson.

Clyde proudly served in the military and held various work positions through his life and eventually retired from Motorola in 1994.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; his children Tracy and Jeff; three grandchildren, Alyssa (Vlad) Dimitrov, Scott Lindau, and Eric (Vox) Lindau; and two great-grandchildren, Nina and Jude Lindau.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and two grandsons, Jacob Lindau and Parker Peterson.

He was such a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. No words can convey how much he will be dearly missed.

A private family graveside was held October 5, 2026. A viewing was held before the graveside for family, friends, and acquaintances at the Gunnison Valley Stake Center.
