Snow College Skate Night “Wheels on Waves”—Snow College Student Life will host its first campus skate night of the year from 9 p.m. to midnight Thursday, Sept. 3, at the Greenwood Student Center in Ephraim. The event will feature free snow cones.

Thursday, Sept. 3—Saturday, Sept. 19
Ephraim Utah Temple Open House—The public is invited to tour the new Ephraim Utah Temple during its open house through Saturday, Sept. 19, excluding Sundays. Tours are free and last approximately 45 minutes. No tickets or reservations are required. The open house will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 200 North and 400 East in Ephraim. Visitors are encouraged to wear comfortable, casual or business-casual clothing and comfortable walking shoes. Photography and video are not permitted inside the temple, and large bags and service animals are not allowed. The temple is scheduled to be dedicated Sunday, Oct. 11, with Elder Ronald A. Friday, Sept. 4
Moroni Community Dance—A free community dance will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at the Activities Center, 300 N. Center St., in Moroni. The event is open to all ages, including couples, singles and families. Music will include country, rock, line dance, pop, swing, waltz and cha cha, with requests accepted. Everyone is invited.

Saturday, Sept. 5
Mt. Pleasant End of Summer Bash & Car Show—The Mt. Pleasant Fire Department will host its End of Summer Bash and car show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, on Historic Main Street in Mt. Pleasant. The event will feature live music, vendors, a firemen’s challenge, dunk tank, fire truck tours and a kids firefighter challenge. The car show, sponsored by Beau’s Auto Parts, will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to attend. Car show registration will be available the day of the event, with prizes and raffles.

Friday, Sept. 11
The Main Street Roundup—The Gunnison Main Street Alliance will present The Main Street Roundup from 4 to 10 p.m. Sept. 11 along 100 South and Main Street in Gunnison. The event will feature a Main Street Stroll from 4 to 6 p.m., including a mystery duck hunt and pop-up vendors; karaoke and an open mic at the Casino Star Theatre from 5 to 6 p.m.; line dancing from 6 to 7 p.m.; a concert from 7 to 8:30 p.m.; and a street dance from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Family Feud and karaoke will also follow the concert at the Casino Star Theatre. Eric Dodge Entertainment will provide country-western entertainment. Admission is by donation, with $2.50 suggested. Food trucks, drawings, prizes and activities for the whole family will also be featured.

Saturday, Sept. 12
United We March Gut Check & March of Angels—The ninth annual Full & Half Gut Check, Mini Gut Check and March of Angels will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, at Gunnison City Park, 260 N. Main St., as part of a celebration of America’s 250th birthday. The day will begin with a Big Betsy flag ceremony at 6:20 a.m., followed by the Full & Half Gut Check at 6:46 a.m., the Mini Gut Check and March of Angels at 8 a.m. and the Gut Check Ride at 9 a.m. Food trucks and booths will also be available. Hawaiian Plate Lunch Fundraiser—A cancer fundraiser for Jana Newman will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Greenwood Student Center, 242-260 E. 100 North, Ephraim. Hawaiian plate lunches are $20 and include teriyaki chicken, kalua pork, salad, stir-fry vegetables, macaroni salad, rice and bottled water. Preorders are recommended by calling or texting Flo at 435-813-2293 or Krystal at 435-851-4321. All proceeds will go toward Newman’s medical expenses and family support. A Very Potter Musical—Sanpete Theater Company will present “A Very Potter Musical” at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14-18 at the Eva Beal Auditorium, 50 S. Main St., Manti. The production features music by Tom Kitt and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and is directed by Sophie Ross. General admission is $12. Group and presale discounts are available through Sept. 1. Snow College Faculty Recital—Snow College faculty will perform in a recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at Jorgensen Concert Hall in the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts, 150 College Ave., Ephraim. The performance is scheduled to run until 8:30 p.m.
