Gunnison-Salina Senior Singles Dinner and Social—Single adults age 35 and older are invited to a dinner and social at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, at the west pavilion in Gunnison City Park. Hosted by the Gunnison and Salina stakes of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the event includes a fried chicken dinner with side dishes and entertainment by The Wacky Winders, performing music from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. The event is open to senior singles throughout the Utah Manti Area, including the Mt. Pleasant, Moroni, Manti, Gunnison, Salina and Richfield stakes.

Ephraim Fall Sports Registration—Ephraim City Recreation is accepting registrations for youth fall sports. Registration for flag football closes Thursday, Aug. 14, while registrations for girls volleyball and cross-country close Thursday, Aug. 21. The programs are open to local youth and offer opportunities to learn skills, stay active and participate in team sports. Customer Appreciation Day—The Mt. Pleasant Mercantile will host an Ice Cream Parlor Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, Aug. 15, from noon to 5 p.m. The event is open to the public and will celebrate customers with an afternoon of community and appreciation. Both regular patrons and first-time visitors are welcome.
Monday, August 17
Community Night Out at Gunnison Park—A free communitywide event for all ages will feature a community resource fair and free dinner from 5-7 p.m., along with local resource booths, giveaways and family activities. Participants can complete a Community Passport Challenge by visiting at least 15 booths for a chance to win an evening activity. Evening events include silent disco at The Bldg. 178, bingo at Gunnison Park, family swing dancing at the Gunnison Park tennis courts from 7-9 p.m., pool night at the Gunnison Swimming Pool from 6-9 p.m., and a movie night at the Casino Star Theatre.
Seniors Potluck Social—A seniors potluck social will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at Gunnison City Hall. Sweet-and-sour chicken will be served. Bring a potluck dessert, your dishes and a friend.
Snow College Banking on Success—Snow College will host a free “Banking on Success” workshop for current and aspiring entrepreneurs from 4-6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at the GRIT Center in Ephraim. The workshop will cover financial readiness, business resources and securing financing.
Tuesday, August 18
Heritage Hills Incorporation Hearing—A second public hearing on the proposed Heritage Hills (formerly Twin Oaks) incorporation will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Sanpete County Courthouse, 160 N. Main St., Suite 302, Manti. The hearing will include a presentation of the feasibility study and public comment.
Wednesday, August 19
Spring City Senior Dinner—A senior citizen dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19 at the Spring City Hall Ballroom. The menu includes chicken salad sandwiches, tomato caprese salad, summer orzo salad and cherry cheesecake cups. The Brady Duo will provide the program. Saturday, August 22
Snow College Move-in Day—Snow College’s fall Move-In Day will be Saturday, Aug. 22. Student check-ins will be held from 8 a.m. to noon, followed by a parent Q&A at noon. The Welcome BBQ is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Ephraim campus practice field.
Monday, August 24 – Saturday, August 29
Sanpete County Fair—The 2026 Sanpete County Fair will be held Monday through Saturday, Aug. 24-29, at the Sanpete County Fairgrounds in Manti. Events throughout the week include 4-H and FFA exhibits and livestock competitions, home arts and market classes, carnival rides, rodeo events, entertainment, the Junior Livestock Auction, a car show, swimming activities, horse pulling competition, demolition derby and the annual Main Street parade. The carnival opens Wednesday, Aug. 26, with the MPMRA Rodeo scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 27, and the Demolition Derby on Friday, Aug. 28. Fair activities conclude Saturday, Aug. 29, with the parade at 10 a.m., rodeo finals at 7 p.m. and a Jägertown concert following the rodeo. Tickets are available online at sanpetecountyfair.net or at the fair ticket booth during fair week.

Hoodoo Hill Flea Market—The Hoodoo Hill Flea Market will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1515 S. Highway 117 in Mt. Pleasant. The family-friendly outdoor market features food, crafts, jewelry, clothing, furniture, vintage items and other vendors. Vendor spaces are available. Admission is free.
