Thursday, Oct. 15 – Saturday, Oct. 17
Navajo Churro Sheep Association Meeting—The Navajo Churro Sheep Association is holding its annual meeting at the ConToy Arena in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. is a special free Fiber Guild Workshop Day for the whole family – children and adults alike.  Beginners are welcome to come and learn and try weaving, knitting, crochet, felting, carding, spinning, and wool dyeing.  Families can watch demonstrations, participate in an activity, or make a project to take home. Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. will include sheep and wool education, workshops, vendors, a sheep show, and a silent auction. Call 435-851-7300 for more information.

Thursday, Oct. 15-Monday, Oct. 19
Sunder Creek Farms—Bring the kids, enjoy the crisp fall air, and make a day of it at the Sunder Creek Farms pumpkin patch and corn maze! There will be various activities such as face paint available along with the pumpkin patch and corn maze. The farm will open at noon and close at dark each day. Admission is $6. Look for them on S.R. 117 between S.R. 132 and U.S.89.

Spring City After Dark—Baxter Manor and Spring City Main Street Alliance are giving history and cemetery tours throughout the month of October. The tours start at 6:30 p.m. at the Baxter Manor, 12 W. 200 N in Spring City. The tours will include hayrides to and from the cemeteries, fascinating history, tales of local legends, and stories that aren’t always found in the history books. Various local businesses will also be open for treats and dining after the tours. Tickets are $25 per person and a portion of the ticket sales will be going towards a new historical marquee and memorial display at Old Pioneer Cemetery. Saturday, Oct. 17
Sanpete Viking Boffer Battles—Bring the kids, grab a boffer sword from the loaner rack, and storm the shield-wall! The battles are free to attend, and take place on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9 to 11a.m. at Pioneer Park in Ephraim. Ages 8 and up are welcome to attend with parent supervision. Saturday Night Sways—Whether you’re an experienced dancer or have never stepped onto the dance floor, come learn a few moves and enjoy a great evening with friends and neighbors. The event will be held at the Ephraim Community Center from 6-9 p.m.. Dance instruction is from 6-7 and open dance floor is from 7-9. Entry is free and all ages are welcome!

Wednesday, Oct. 21
Snow College Planetarium—The Planetarium will be showing “Spooky Space” at 7p.m. This week in honor of Halloween, they will be doing a special Halloween Show at 8 p.m. Both are ticketed shows, which you can reserve at https://snow.edu/academics/science_math/planetarium/. Tickets are free.

Thursday, Oct. 22
Snow College Fine Arts—Get ready to turn up the volume and hit the dance floor! Snow College’s Rock Bands are bringing you a high-energy live rock dance party packed with great music, incredible energy, and plenty of room to dance. Grab your friends and come ready to move, sing along, and rock the night away. The performance will be at the Eccles Center Larsen Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 23
Nightmare at Ephraim Square—Ephraim City invites everyone to join them for Nightmare at Ephraim Square from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be trick or treating, carnival game, a community truck or treat, spook alley, and much more! Prizes will be awarded for the Trunk or Treat. The categories are Best Trunk, City’s Choice, and Youth’s Choice. A map with your booth location will be sent out by Oct. 21st.

Stellar Trick Riding Clinic—This is an amazing opportunity for young prodigies of trick riding! The clinic is taking place at the ConToy Arena in Mt.Pleasant. The teachers have 12 years of experience in the sport and performed at the NFBR in 2024. There are limited spots available and limited saddles for rent. This clinic is for ages 5 and up. Saturday, Oct. 24
Temple to Temple Half & Full Marathon—Experience one of Sanpete County’s most unique races, beginning at the new Ephraim Temple and finishing at the historic Manti Temple. You will get to run through the beautiful Sanpete Valley on scenic rural roads, with mountain views, open farmland and the historic communities of Ephraim and Manti along the way.  Register for the race at https://ww.templetotemple.life/.

Medication Take-Back Day—Visit the Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office in Manti from 10 a.m. to noon to turn in any unneeded, unwanted, or expired medications for safe disposal. There will be giveaways of treats, medication lock bags, disposal packets, and Narcan and/or Naloxone kits while supplies last. When you receive an overdose kit, you will also get a brief training on how to use it in case of an overdose emergency.
