Sharon Louise Hilley

Sharon Louise Hilley, age 79, passed away on Feb. 20, 2026, at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo.

Sharon was born on April 26, 1946, in Las Vegas, Nevada to Edwin Albert Bauer and Ethel Watson Bauer. Her family later moved to Salt Lake City where she met and married Joseph Dayle Mendenhall and moved to southern California. They had two daughters together, Stacey and Tracey. They later divorced and she married Travis O’Daniel (Danny) Hilley on April 21, 1972.

In 1977 Sharon and Danny moved their family from California back to Utah to be closer to her ailing mother. Sharon worked at Holy Cross Hospital where she served as the food service supervisor until her retirement.

Sharon and Danny enjoyed their retirement in southern Nevada until his passing on Oct. 11, 2003. For the next 10 years she enjoyed being a part of the Red Hats, Desert Dames, and various volunteering positions.

In 2013 Sharon moved to Centerfield to be closer to her two daughters and grandchildren where she continued her love for volunteering at the Gunnison Valley Hospital.

Sharon is survived by her two daughters Stacey (Frank) Johanson, Tracey (Bud) Park; stepson Kenneth (Gay) Hilley; her sister Pamela (Robert) Finn and brother Russell (Janiel) Bauer; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Danny, her parents, and her sister Connie Thaller.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. (Mountain Time) on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at the Centerfield LDS Ward Chapel, 230 South Main Street, with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. (Pacific Time) on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, in the Mesquite City Cemetery, 301 Hillside Dr, Mesquite, Nevada, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes, of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
