The Spring City concert series resumes February 20th with Snow College tenor

Reknowned local opera singer and Snow College professor Brian Stucki will perform in the Spring City community concert series this Friday.

SPRING CITY — Spring City will resume its community concert series Friday, Feb. 20, with a 7 p.m. performance in the ballroom of the Spring City Community Center, 45 South 100 East.

The opening concert will feature tenor Brian Stucki, a Spring City resident, along with several of his vocal students from Snow College. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Stucki as an internationally known tenor who has performed around the world. His students represent Snow College’s music program and will join him for the evening performance.

Two additional concerts are scheduled for the remainder of the season.

On Thursday, March 26, the Young Artists Chamber Players will return to Spring City. The ensemble is a student string orchestra made up of high school musicians from the Wasatch Front.

The final concert of the season is set for Friday, April 10, when Annie Zhou, a student at Wasatch Academy from China, will present a flute performance.

Admission to the March and April concerts is free, though organizers will accept donations. Proceeds from the Feb. 20 concert will go toward maintenance of the ballroom’s seven-foot grand piano, which the B. W. Bastian Foundation donated to Spring City.
All concerts are open to the public. Organizers encourage residents and visitors to attend.
