Sanpete athletes named to Deseret News All-Academic list

      The Utah High School Athletic Association (UHSAA) has named 11 Sanpete students to the Academic All-State list for winter sports.

      The award is given to senior athletes participating in a sport during the season and by either meeting an index score on the qualification index, which is a combination of ACT, SAT, and GPA, or by having a 4.0 unweighted GPA.

GUNNISON VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

BOYS BASKETBALL

      Carson Tucker, son of Bill and Amie Tucker of Gunnison who has a 4.0 GPA

BOYS WRESTLING

      Tezlin Winn, son of Riley and Shanelle Winn of Mayfield who has a 3.727 GPA.

      Will Wescott, son of Lane and Angela Wescott of Gunnison who has a 3.973 GPA.

      Alexis Christensen, is the daughter of Typhena and Jesse Harmon of Manti.

      Kylee Hanks, is the daughter of Chad and Tressa Hanks of Ephraim.

      Bethany Christensen, is the daughter of Alan and Becky Christensen of Ephraim.

      Alison Hatch, is the daughter of Alvin and Adriana Hatch in Sterling.
