
Andrew Higgins Rimmasch, 60, of Fayette, passed away April 23, 2021 in Gunnison.
Andrew was born on Aug.3, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Helmuth Kenneth and Millicent Ivy Higgins Rimmasch.
Andrew was raised in Salt Lake and graduated from Skyline High School in 1978. He worked his dream job as a Zoo keeper at Hogle Zoo for many years.
Andrew married the love of his life, Tamera Lynn Johnson on May 15, 1981, they later divorced.
Andrew and Tamera remained very good friends.
Andrew was a simple man who enjoyed his animals and gardening. He loved camping, hiking, fishing, collecting mini bottles, motorcycles, old cars and tinkering with computers.
Andrew loved to serve those around him the best he could. He was a very giving and loving man. We love you and you’ll be missed, enjoy the freedom of a healthy pain free body.
He is survived by his daughter; Amanda (Scooter) Beckstead, Sterling; siblings, Julie Rimmasch, Mark (Sylvia) Rimmasch, Alec (Theresa) Rimmasch, Bonnie Rimmasch (Randy Gordan), Amie (Paul) Dalton.
He is also survived by granchildren, Kalob, Maliki, Mika and MandaLynn. Andrew is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Fayette Town Hall, 100 East Center Street, Fayette. There will be a viewing held prior to services starting at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Fayette Cemetery.
