Bartholomews to celebrate 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 14

Lamar and Carolyn Bartholomew of Fayette, Utah will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Sept 14. They were married in the Los Angeles Temple on that date in 1962. They have celebrated this event with their family earlier this month.

Lamar and Carolyn began their marriage while they were both attending BYU in Provo, Utah. Carolyn graduated in 1964 with a degree in Elementary Education with a composite major including human development and fam- ily relations. Lamar eventually graduated in political science and economics with a Master’s degree in Public Administration in 1970.

Their children have been born in Utah, Virginia and California. They are Beth, Jill, Amy Brian, Aaron, Matthew, Diane, Mark and Jean Louise who died soon after birth.

In the year 2000 Lamar and Carolyn moved to Fayette where Lamar was raised. Lamar has worked in public administration as well as in the secondary grades as a teacher in special education.

Much of their lives has been involved in Church service. They served missions in Russia and Armenia.
