Cami Annette Dyreng
Jan. 18, 2018
Our sweet mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, Cami Annette Dyreng, 39, passed away at her home in Gunnison, Utah on Jan. 11, 2018. She was born on Nov. 26, 1978 in Gunnison to Richard and Annette Dyreng.
Cami attended Gunnison schools and excelled in everything she tried. She was an honor roll student, played many musical instruments, was a cheerleader, and an athlete participating on the softball and track teams. She was an accomplished gymnast, but her true passion was dance, where she represented Gunnison Valley High School on the drill team and as a sterling scholar. She attended Snow College and Southern Utah University where she was in the marching band. She pursued an education in psychology because she loved being a listening ear to anyone suffering.
Cami was born in the wrong era, being a “hippie” at heart. She loved nature. She collected rocks and beads to make jewelry to share with everyone. She enjoyed being outdoors, hiking and rock climbing. She had great athletic ability and at a very young age enjoyed water skiing and snowboarding.
Cami was a mother to three boys: Canyen Paul, Brooks Richard, and Sawyer Beck. She loved her boys and did her best to be a mother. She was loved by 17 nieces and nephews, who she often tended. She was a fun aunt and a kid at heart, always on the floor playing with them. She has recently been a nursery leader in her ward and loved the children she served.
Cami is survived by her three sons, her parents, and her siblings: Cody (Nona) Dyreng, Casey (Samantha) Dyreng, Mandi (Chad) Barton, and Connor (Ashley) Dyreng. She is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Jan. 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Gunnison Stake Center, 80 West Center, where friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Gunnison Cemetery.
Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com.
