Carol Rhoda Maynes

Carol Rhoda Maynes, aged 98, of Manti, Utah, peacefully completed her earthly journey in 2026. Carol lived a life of devotion to her family with an open heart that welcomed everyone she met.

Carol met the love of her life Roy Maynes, and was married in the Salt Lake Temple on Dec. 11, 1946.

Carol was a passionate gardener, baker, cook, and seamstress. Carol created intricate cross stitch pictures and embroidery, and made hundreds of quilts for weddings, friends, grandchildren, and humanitarian services.

Carol possessed a sharp, engaging mind, was a voracious reader, and taught the love of learning to her children. She often gathered friends and family for a lively game of cards. Her favorite game was Scrabble.

Carol loved being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She faithfully served in many Church callings her entire life.  She leaves a legacy of faith and testimony.

Her greatest masterpiece is the loving family she nurtured. Carol was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.  Her legacy of love lives on through her three siblings, her 11 children and their spouses; 46 grandchildren; 106 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She taught generations of family how to live with grace, patience, and joy.

Carol’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the professionals from At Home Health Care & Hospice, and Golden Skyline Assisted Living Center, who lovingly cared for her, and to her many friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 18 at 11 a.m., with a viewing prior at 10 a.m. at 2790 North Center Street, Lehi, Utah.
