Carolyn Brock grew up in Eagle, Colorado, on a farm with her parents and one sister, Audrey.
Her first official job was at a credit union making $1.00 per day. She graduated from high school in 1960 and married Robert (Bob) Brock in 1961. He passed away in 2004.
After working various jobs, she started her own business because if she was going to work as hard as a man, she was determined to be paid the same. She was one of the first female insurance agents in Utah and called everyone in the phone book. She ran her own successful business in real estate and insurance for nearly 40 years, retiring only a few years ago.
In 1980 she became the first woman on the Centerfield Town Council and served there for eight years. She served the next 20 years on the Sanpete Economic Development Committee, the Six County Economic Development Committee, and lastly on the Sanpete County Zoning and Planning.
Carolyn has lived in her home in Centerfield for 47 years and loves her small-town life, neighbors, friends and family. She has four children: Becky Brock Bastian of Central Valley, Randy Wayne Brock (deceased), Jackie Brock of South Jordan and Nichole Brock of Centerfield.
A family celebration will be held in her honor, and all neighbors and friends are invited to wish her congratulations on this fabulous milestone.
