Our beautiful wife, mother and grandmother, Mickey Charmaine Venitelli Nicholls, 69, made her journey home Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016 in Ephraim.
She was surrounded by her sweetheart Dale, and two daughters: Melody and Malisa. Her courage, strength and grace carried her and those she loved until she took her last breath.
Barbra Winter wrote: “When you come to the edge of all the light you know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, Faith is knowing one of two things will happen, there will be something firm to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.”
Mom’s faith gave her both. Mom chose to love deeply, speak kindly, and embrace all that life offered. We will miss her greatly, but find comfort knowing that she was received by loving arms.
Charmaine was born Jan. 13, 1947 to Mickey and Melba Olsen Venitelli. She was the youngest of three beautiful sisters: Sheri Ferguson and Tami (Ronnie) Cox. She married her high school sweetheart, Dale Nicholls, Dec. 28, 1968. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
Charmaine was Miss Ephraim and also represented her home town at Girls State in 1964. She is a graduate of Manti High class of 1965. She also served as Primary president of the Ephraim 2nd Ward.
She is survived by her children: Melody (Cary) Breeze and Malisa Cox. Grandkids: Brenden Breeze, Korie (Finesha) Cox, McKena Breeze, Dalan Cox, Ryann Breeze, Luke Cox, great-grandkids; Tagon and Trinity Cox.
Preceded in death by parents, Mickey and Melba Olsen Venitelli; father-in-law, Erick M Nicholls; brother-in-law, Glen Nicholls; son-in-law, Jamie A Cox.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016 at noon in the Ephraim 1st-2nd Ward Chapel, 450 North 200 West, with viewings on Sunday evening and before the services on Monday.
Burial was in the Ephraim Park Cemetery Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com.
