Edward Wallace
Our hero, Edward Albert Wallace, died July 6, 2017.
He was born on April 20, 1957 to Albert Stewart Wallace and Jose Nadene Meldrum. They later divorced and Albert married Genevra Ann McIntosh.
“Eddie” was raised through childhood in Salt Lake City by his father and stepmother. He served in the Coast Guard for three years after leaving home. He then joined the Navy Reserves and worked with explosives for the government. He later became a Murray City fireman 3, a paramedic, and a security medic at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. As a later career, Ed worked at Deer Creek Coal Mine in Huntington and as a heavy-haul truck driver.
Ed is survived by three children: Jeremy Edward Wallace (Shauna); Corena Wallace Chhat (Chantha) and Zack Wallace. He was preceded in death by his son, William Albert Wallace.
He was our son, our brother, and our friend who was much loved and will be sorely missed. Many thanks to those who loved and befriended Ed while he made his home in Manti. A private celebration of his life will be held by family members at a later date and in one of Ed’s most favorite places – the Uinta Mountains.
