
Fenton John “Butch” DeMill, 76, of Manti, passed away peacefully at his home April 14, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Butch was born Oct. 6, 1945 in Manti to Fenton and Melba Metcalf DeMill. He married Connie Jones DeMill on June 13, 1964 in Manti.
Butch was a lifelong native of Manti, where he attended local schools and graduated from Manti High School with the Class of 1963. He worked in local manufacturing plants. Later, he worked as a contractor and built and remodeled numerous homes.
Butch loved the outdoors and spending time with his family, and he loved fishing, hunting, camping and waterskiing.
He is survived by his wife, Connie, of 58 years; sons: Blake (Sonia) DeMill and Duane (Nadean) DeMill, all of Manti; sister, Connie D. Stocking, Idaho; grandchildren: Amber (Jared) Hatch, Jessica (Dave) Shephard, Jackie (Bryan) Sanders, Ned (Taylor) DeMill, Melissa Mason, Kellie (Brian) Hudson, and Adam DeMill; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Karen Quilter; grandson, Trent Monroe DeMill; brothers-in-law: Elmo Stocking and Glade Quilter; and nephew, Clint Quilter.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10 a.m. in the Manti City Cemetery.
