            MANTI—Manti Telecommunications Co. (MTCC) will
again host its Movies-in-thePark program this summer with support from local business sponsors.

The movies will kick off with a showing of “Sing 2” at Manti City Park on June 17, sponsored by Mid-Utah Radio.

C.O. Building Systems will sponsor the showing of “Luca” on June 24 at Canyon View Park in Ephraim.

Custom Electrical Service LLC and Barclay Mechanical will sponsor a movie on July 8. The location and title has yet to be determined.

Mad Dog Floor Coverings will sponsor a movie on July 15, which is also undetermined.

I-Four Media will sponsor the showing of “American Underdog” on July 29 at Ephraim Canyon View Park.

The last movie of the summer will be “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” sponsored by MTCC at Manti City Park on Aug. 5.

There will be activities prior to the movie showings such as 9 Square in the Air (a group game with a beach-size ball), corn hole, Frisbee golf, trivia, free drinks, snacks and prizes giveaways. The pre-movie activities will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Businesses pay about $3,000 to sponsor a show, with about $750 going toward licensing of the movie. Other costs include the soda and popcorn for an average of 500 people at each showing. Additional information is available on MTCC’s website.

MTCC is also continuing with Wi-Fi Summer this year, where the company provides free Wi-Fi to multiple areas in Sanpete County from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

The Wi-Fi will be available at Manti City Park, Manti Aquatic Center, Sanpete County Fairgrounds, Manti Sports Park, Sterling Town Park, Ephraim Family Park and Ephraim Canyon View Park.

The Wi-Fi will also be extended to The Rat Fink Museum during the Ed “Big Daddy” Roth 20th Rat Fink Reunion June 2 – 4.

The network name is MTCC Free Wi-fi. By going to your Wi-Fi options and clicking that name, you will be able to connect all Wi-Fi compatible devices to the Internet.

The featured sponsor for Wi-Fi this year is Mid Utah Radio, which provides news and entertainment all over the state.

Other sponsors include Custom Electrical Service LLC, Barclay Mechanical, C.O. Building Systems, I-Four Media LLC, Mad Dog Floor Coverings, Big G Automotive, Manti City, Jorgensen Chevrolet, Risk Managers, Los Amigos, Ephraim City, Statewide Funding Mortgage Brokers, Utah Heritage Credit Union, Hallows & Co and Candies on Main.
