The Fairview Museum of History and Art will be hosting the fifth annual Utah’s Beauty and Heritage Art Walk July through August.

The fifth annual Utah’s Beauty and Heritage Art Walk will be held July through August.
Registration for the walk will be on July 15 and 16 at the Horizon Building of the Fairview Museum, 85 N. 100 East, between 12 and 4 p.m.
The art must represent an authentic Utah landmark, scene, historical place, thing or person symbolic to Utah.
Artists can register up to two art pieces per category, and all art work must be no larger than 24” x 30,” including the frame. There is a registration fee of $5 per art piece.
All art must be framed with a wire attached for hanging and a name label attached to the back. Additionally the walk is a family event, so all art must be family-friendly.
There will be a reception and red carpet ribbon cutting to kick off the event. The reception will begin on July 21 from 3 to 5 p.m.
Artists will be allowed to list their work for sale, but it must be kept at the museum until pickup on August 13 between 12 and 4 p.m.
Cash prizes will be awarded for first and second place, as well as an honorable mention award ribbon. The three categories for the prizes are painting/drawing, watercolor and photography.
Admission to visit the art walk is free; however, donationsare appreciated.
The Fairview Museum of History and Art has served Utah for 56 years as one of Utah’s largest museums. The museum has three buildings: the Horizon Building, the Heritage Building and the Rawlinson Building. Additionally, there are outdoor displays of sculptures, monuments and historical tools.
