The pageant runs in conjunction with the Miss Sanpete Pageant. The queens and attendants from all of the pageants will serve the community alongside each other over the next year.

There was a Tiny Miss division for girls between the agesof3and5.“Ittakesalot of courage for these girls at this age to get on stage and perform for a crowd,” said Marcy Curtis, Little Miss Sanpete Pageant director.

Charli Reese, daughter of Cory and Julie Reese of Mt. Pleasant was crowned the Tiny Miss queen. For her talent, she performed a dance solo to “I Enjoy Being a Girl.”

Everleigh Bown, daughter of Bailey and Victoria Bown of Manti, was crowned first attendant, and Holland Thomson, daughter of Tyler and Ashley Thomson of Ephraim, was crowned second attendant.

Girls between the ages of 6 and 8 competed in the Mini Miss division where McKinzie Bailey, daughter of Keith and Jennifer Bailey of Moroni, was crowned queen. McKinzie performed a dance solo to “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”

Crowned as first attendant was Haven Thomson, daughter of Tyler and Ashley Thomson of Ephraim, while Maddie Mason, daughter of Matthew and Brittany Mason of Ephraim, was named second attendant.

Carrington Dyches, daughter of Spencer and Brittany Dyches of Ephraim, took the top crown in the Little Miss division. Girls in this group were 9 and 10 years old.

“The Little Miss division was so full of talent and personality,” Curtis said. “I was so glad I was in the back and not up front judging.”

Carrington danced to “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” where she was full of energy and sparkle in her blue costume with a golden army side cap.

Abigail Bailey, daughter of Keith and Jennifer Bailey of Moroni, was crowned first attendant, and Ali Reese, daughter of Cory and Julie Reese of Mt. Pleasant, was crowned as second attendant.

Junior Miss contestants were 11 and 12 years old and, according to Curtis, full of talent and personality. Adaliah Ackerman, daughter of Peter and Bekah of Manti, was crowned at Junior Miss Sanpete. She shared her talent of ballet on point with the judges and crowd.

Crowned first attendant was Meagan Haftel daughter of Jeff and Cassandra Haftel of Fairview. Second attendant was Brinley Reese, daughter of Cory and Julie Reese of Mt. Pleasant.

Curtis said that she enjoyed all the girls who competed on Friday night.

The hope of the Little Miss Pageant is to give young girls the skills and confidence needed to complete in the Miss Sanpete and Teen Miss Sanpete competitions as they get older.
