
Gregory Bruce “Wizard” Thomson, 61, of Ephraim passed away on Nov. 4, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones after a valiant battle with cancer. Greg was born Jan. 2, 1955 to Garth W. and Carol Phelps Thomson.
Greg worked many different jobs throughout his life from truck driving, traveling the states surveying for oil companies, construction, and was employed at Stevenson Intermountain Seed in Ephraim until his illness kept him from no longer being able to work.
Greg loved his family and they were his world. Greg enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, and taking his German shepherd “Zeppelin” for walks around town with his son Chaz, Brandie, and granddaughter Ivy Jo.
Greg was a lover of anything outdoors.
Greg is survived by his children, Stacie (Kevin) Tippetts of Riverdale, Utah and Chaz (Brandie) Thomson of Ephraim. Grandchildren are: Taylen, Trevin, Kynlie, Kaytlie, and little Ivy Jo, they were truly the light of his life.
Greg was a friend to all and will be deeply missed.
Special thanks to Home health and Hospice, Dr. Cole and Dr. Platt, and the many family members that put in countless hours caring for him. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov.10, 2016 at 1 p.m. with a viewing prior from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary in Mt Pleasant.
