Countywide

March 12-21 is National Poison Prevention Week (NPPW), a week dedicated to informing people on the dangers of poisoning, while also providing ways to avoid poison exposure.

The Utah Poison Control Center (UPCC) mission is to “prevent and minimize adverse health effects from a poison exposure through education, service and research.” They respond to over 40,000 calls each year, with their staff including registered pharmacists, nurses, and physicians.

They invite citizens to become more educated on how to prevent poisoning during NPPW. Their website includes more information at utahpoisoncontrol.org.
