Larry Braithwaite

Larry Braithwaite

Every so often, someone’s life journey captures our hearts and becomes more than just a simple human experience, but one to remember forever. Such was the life of Larry L. Braithwaite. On Feb. 27, 2017, Larry was reunited with his precious little daughter Cindy, his parents, siblings – Marvin, Gerald, Melvin, Lynda and granddaughter, Alecia.
Larry was born May 26, 1942 in Manti, Utah, to Lynn C. Braithwaite and Latone Stewart. He was the fourth child in a family of nine children. He married his sweetheart Tamra (Tammy) Jean Arnold on June 6, 1959, and together they raised five beautiful children.
Larry was a master builder and owner of L&L Builders and Custom Framing Co. He loved working with his hands, even when it became a challenge due to his illness. He loved the great outdoors – fishing, camping, hiking and hunting. Although, in later years, instead of hunting, he had a passion for taking pictures of the deer and elk. He served in the Boy Scouts of America for 25 years.
He will forever be in the hearts of his sweetheart, Tammy, his children, Lori, Holly, Lonny, Jody, 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and his sisters – Betty, Joyce, Ruth, Jane and many, many friends.
The family would like to thank the many wonderful professionals that cared for him throughout his 50 year battle with arthritis.
We will be celebrating his life on March 4, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Braithwaite home, 2478 E. 750 N. St. George.
Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.SerenityStG.com. Arrangements and memorial tree planting by Serenity Funeral Home, 986-9100. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Foundation at www.arthritis.org.
