Lenore Watson Peterson, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, in St. George, Utah. Born on Oct. 8, 1945, in Bell Gardens, California, Lenore led a life marked by quiet strength and selfless service, leaving a lasting legacy in the lives of many.

Lenore’s early years in Bell Gardens shaped her warm spirit and determination, qualities that blossomed throughout her remarkable journey. On July 24, 1965, she married Oscar Deloy Peterson in the Los Angeles Temple. They made their home in Spanish Fork, Utah, where they raised their family for eight years before settling in Ephraim, Utah, in 1978. For nearly three decades, Lenore and Dee had a second residence in St. George, Utah.

Lenore’s career was a true reflection of her generous heart. She devoted herself to working with special needs adults, profoundly impacting their ability to live fulfilling and dignified lives. Her commitment extended also to the 4-H horse club for 35 years. She outfitted several kids who didn’t have their own tack. Through these endeavors, Lenore’s nurturing nature touched countless souls, embodying a spirit of hope and perseverance.

She is survived by her children: Travis Peterson; Harley Peterson (Alison) Peterson; Edee (Adam) Andreasen; Scott Peterson; and Shane (Connie) Peterson. Her legacy continues vibrantly through her 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Lenore was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Earl and Ruth Watson; brothers, Earl Watson and Dave Watson and her husband, Dee.
