Lloyd Donald Parley Grant Bright

Lloyd Donald Parley Grant Bright has returned home to Heaven by the angels, Friday, Feb. 9, 2018.
He was born on Jan. 22, 1936 in Bradfordsville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by father Henry Ether Bright and mother Lena Virginia Stayton Bright, siblings Charles, Julia, Blanche, and William, and great-granddaughter Samantha Lily.
He is survived by Marilyn Joan Bright, his loving wife of 62 years, and a devoted father to his sons, Michael Lloyd Bright (Teresa), Kevin Todd Bright, Vaughn Marlin Bright, and daughter Danette Joan Kelley (Tim), 14 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
Lloyd moved from Kentucky to Salt Lake City, Utah where he enlisted in the Army and served in Korea with an honorable discharge. When home on leave he met the love of his life, Marilyn Payne, down the street from his sister’s home. They corresponded for a year and then they married on June 7, 1956. The rest is history. Daddy, we will miss you until we see you again.
A viewing was held Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 S. 2200 W. Riverton. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel at 15040 S. Mountainside Dr. Riverton. Interment was in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Rd. Riverton.
