MANTI—One of the favorite assemblies of the year for Manti High students, the Templar Talent Show, was presented last Wednesday, April 13.

Several students and groups shared their talents through instruments, voice, dance and the ever popular lip synching.
Faculty members serving as judges had their work cut out for them in order to pick their favorites in six categories.

Rated as the “most disturbing” (one of the judges described the act as the one that should probably win a phone call home to mom), was the Man Bros. The group leads, Jesse Howick and Simeon Olsen, lip synched to a popular song about showering in their best shower attire, later joined by several friends wearing towels and shower cap. Ultimately the performers pretended to toss their clothes out of the shower. The act received the most chants and laughter from the crowd.

Other awards were “best voice,” Sadie Roberts; “best instrumental,” Brigham Larsen; “most creative,” Tony and the Rappers; “most unique,” the high school dance company.

The “overall talent award” went to Samuel Gilbert aka Sammy G.
