North Bend Entertainers to stage “Arsenic and Old Lace” in Fairview
FAIRVIEW—North Bend Entertainers will bring the dark comedy “Arsenic and Old Lace” to the historic Peterson Dance Hall with three performances scheduled for Oct. 29, 30 and Nov. 2.

The performances will begin at 7 p.m., with tickets available at the door.
Directed by Lucy Wright of Ephraim, the production features actors from throughout Sanpete County performing the classic comedy about the eccentric Brewster family and its dark secrets.
The story centers on two elderly sisters, Abby and Martha Brewster, who live in their family’s longtime Brooklyn home. Their nephew Teddy, who lives with them, believes he is President Theodore Roosevelt, much to the frustration of their neighbors.
Another nephew, Mortimer, works as a drama critic despite his dislike of theater. He is romantically involved with Elaine, the daughter of a minister who lives next door. Meanwhile, the family’s third brother, Jonathan, has been absent for years.
As the story unfolds, the seemingly respectable Brewster household reveals a collection of increasingly outrageous secrets, including some deadly family traditions.
North Bend Entertainers is a nonprofit community theater organization established in response to efforts to preserve Fairview’s historic Peterson Dance Hall.
The organization’s mission includes raising funds to maintain the building as a theater and community gathering place, providing opportunities for local performers to showcase their talents and offering affordable entertainment to Sanpete County residents.
