
Rick Duncan, 75, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 23, 2022, surrounded by his family, in West Valley City.
Rick was born Jan. 13, 1947, to Byron and Dorothy Duncan in Springfield, Minnesota. When he was two years old, his family moved to Manti, Utah, where he was raised.
He joined the Army in 1964, stationed in Fort Polk, Louisiana, and completed his service in 1967. He married Arlene Busenbark on Sept. 2, 1978. They moved to Magna, Utah in 1980, where they raised their daughters.
Rick was a hard worker; he retired from the Union as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Copper Club Golf Course for many years. He loved fishing, riding his ATV in Sanpete County, driving around in his 1972 Lincoln Continental and barbecues with his family. He especially enjoyed his yard and gardening.
Rick is survived by his wife, Arlene Duncan; his four daughters, Jeanne (Scott) Monks, Tammy Duncan, Elisa (Ryan) Campbell, and Regina Duncan; his siblings, Gary (Sidnee) Duncan, Kathy (Larry) Sorenson, Becky Kjar, and Kelly Nielson; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Dorothy Duncan; in-laws, Duane and Faye Busenbark; brother, Dave Duncan; and brother-in-law, Curt Kjar.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, Utah.
