Paul Kimball, left, and Brigham Larsen, both of Ephraim, were in charge of assembling dinners for take-out at a Scout Fundraiser Friday night at the TIFIE Scout Camp.
The line to be served at a Boy Scout fundraiser extends the full length of the Burch Lodge at the TIFIE Scout Camp. The event last Friday night attracted more than 300 people and raised about $5,000 according to Gary Cole of Ephraim, one of the troop leaders.
Larry Peel of Bishop, Texas, fills up his plate at the Scout fundraiser Friday night. Larry Peel was in Sanpete County visiting his brother, Dale, of Mt. Pleasant, who was one of the main organizers of the event.
Tanner Sorensen, left, and Ty Dent, both of Mt. Pleasant and both members of the Boy Scout Troop 527, dish up potatoes and green beans at a fundraiser Friday night at the TIFIE Scout Camp. Troop 527 has about 25 members from the central and north regions of Sanpete County. (TIFIE is an acronym for Teaching Individuals and Families Independence through Enterprise. Much of the funding to construct the camp came from a Salt Lake County nonprofit called TIFIE Humanitarian.)
