Our beloved mother, daughter, sister and aunt, Sheri Betty Mellor, age 41, of Fayette, was taken from us on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021 as the result of an automobile accident in Manti on her way home from work.

She was born June 10, 1980 in Gunnison, Utah, a daughter of Gerald Melvin and Margene Jensen Mellor.  She grew up in Fayette and graduated from Gunnison Valley High School, Class of 1998.

Sheri Betty Mellor

Sheri was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Cub Scout program, where she enjoyed working with the young scouts, especially her son Kaden.

She tried to make sure each boy was taken care of. Sheri loved her son Kaden with all her heart.  She did everything she could to provide a wonderful life for him.  They had many fun times together, going to concerts, going on trips and exploring new things.

She enjoyed outdoor activities, riding the 4-wheeler, camping, hiking and wave running at the lake.   She also loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Sheri had many difficult challenges in her life, but she never gave up.  She kept on trying.  She endured to the end, until she was taken home to our Heavenly Father.

Sheri is survived by her beloved son, Kaden; her parents, Gerald and Margene J. Mellor, all of Fayette; siblings: Matt Mellor of Cedar City; Jenny and Brett Cox of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Chris and Alyssa Mellor of Nephi; nieces and nephews: Elena Mellor, Brookelle Cox, Max Cox, Bailey Cox, Addison Mellor, and Jameson Mellor; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Betty Mellor, and Robert S. and Marjorie C. Jensen.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021 at noon in the Fayette LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for a viewing Monday morning from 9:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Fayette Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
