SPRING CITY—The annual Spring City Plein Air event wrapped up over the weekend after a week of enthusiastic participation. More than 100 artists participated in the annual outdoor painting event.

Enthusiastic auction participants gear up to bid on art.

“Thanks to all who participated in our event, either as artists or collectors or visitors,” said Spring City Mayor Chris Anderson. “We had a great time. It was amazing to see the beautiful work created this past week.”

Two artists each tied for first place, earning $1,500 awards: Brad Aldridge of Moroni with “Rock Dam at Dawn” and Kimball Geisler of Rex- burg, Idaho with “The Conductor.”

Allen Brockbank of Centerville took second place for his “Good Day-Sun- shine’’ painting. Steve Van Handel of Cedar City took third–place for his “Everett’s Field” piece.

Honorable mentions include Alli Malmrose, Doug Fryer, Jeff Hein, Ellie Wilson, Naomi Allen, Rob Adamson, Bryce Samuelson, Steve Stauffer and Wendy Hacking.
