
Stephen Ray Hansen, beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, born May 8, 1942, in Salt Lake City, and died Sept. 3, 2021 at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah.
Stephen married Nancy Jo Wilson, Oct. 3, 1969, in Littleton, Colorado. They were sealed forever on Dec. 6, 1985, in the Manti Temple. They have four sons: Max (Jennifer), Tate (JoAnn), David (Rylee), and Jay (Jenna). They have 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Stephen loved horses and spent his life working with them. He trained racehorses from 1969 to 1982 and then moved horses from New York to California for the races. Earlier Steve worked construction on the Flaming Gorge Dam in eastern Utah. He has lived in Fairview for most of his life.
Stephen is survived by his immediate family and a sister, Donna (Jack) Barton, and a foster brother, Freddie Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don Carlos Hansen and Lucile Muir Hansen, and his sister Eula Ann Hansen.
Funeral services will be held Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. in the Fairview 3rd Ward Chapel. Viewings will be held Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary in Mt. Pleasant and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church.
