Vera Donna Pritchard

Vera Donna Pritchard, 90, of Ephraim, passed away Dec. 20, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 9, 1931 to Ira and Vera Brink Dahm in Sacramento, California.  She married Leonard A. Pritchard on Oct. 24, 1948 in Reno, Nevada.  Together they had two children: Cookie Pritchard, and Bud (Donna Lue) Pritchard.

The family moved from San Jose, California in 1965 and started the Stagg Camper business.  They sold it and built the Iron Horse Motel in 1976.  Donna and her husband ran the motel for 40 years.

Donna and her daughter Cookie raised, owned, and showed world champion AQHA champion quarter horses for many years.  She loved breeding and raising foals, and having her Aussie dogs, Trouble and Sweetie. Donna was a 4-H horse leader in Ephraim for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Cookie Pritchard, and son Bud (Donna Lue) Pritchard, both of Ephraim; grandson Jeromy Colt (Tabitha) Pritchard, great-grandson Gage Pritchard.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Leonard and grandson Ryan Pritchard and brothers Donald Brink and Ira Dahm.

To celebrate her life, Donna would love you to donate to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab.
