Two Sanpete babies get America250 onesies

MOUNT PLEASANT—As America celebrated the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding, Intermountain Health helped new parents and their babies mark the occasion with a special America250 onesie.

All babies born at Intermountain St. George Regional and Intermountain Cedar City hospitals between July 1 and 7 received a commemorative onesie, along with a special America250 certificate as an additional keepsake.

“Our caregivers love to celebrate all babies born in our hospitals and try to make every birth a special moment for the families,” said Amy Christensen, RN, regional chief nursing officer for Intermountain Health’s Utah hospitals. “When we can tie the celebration to a once in a lifetime event like America250 it’s even more special for everyone involved.”

Intermountain hospitals across Utah distributed 1,000 of the custom-made onesies to newborns. Babies in the neonatal intensive care unit who spent the Fourth of July holiday in the hospital also received the commemorative gift.

Two of the custom-made onesies were delivered to Intermountain Sanpete Valley Hospital, where they were presented to newborns Wrenley Dimmick and Swayzee Danner.
