Bad experiences in Ephraim trailer park

My name is Stacy Westfahl and I’m writing about Lloyd Call’s story about Kolby Pulshier and the trailer park in Ephraim.

I bought one of his trailers a year ago, paying cash for the home and 13 months of lot rent upfront. After being there a few days I realized my home was full of black mold. I told Kolby about it and was ignored. It took me months, 10 to be exact, to get him to do anything about it. It even took me hiring a lawyer to get done.

The guy took full advantage of my homeless situation when I bought the home and again when I sued him to get out of the home. He covered up the mold by placing new exterior wood on the outside and new paint on the walls inside and flooring inside. There’s no way he didn’t know and sold it to me anyway.

By the time I was able to recover some of the money I’d given him for the moldy home I lost about $15,000, maybe more, and here’s the reason I’m writing you.

After he bought it back for $8,000 less than I paid for it, plus keeping all the upfront money that I had paid for lot rent he had it up for sale again asking 20k more than he paid me only hours before. HE NEVER FIXED THE WALLS FULL OF MOLD.

A new family has moved in there now, undoubtedly into a hazardous condition and probably has no idea what’s behind those walls. The trailer at 9 East 430 North is not a safe place for anyone to live in. I’m still suffering from respiratory problems, I can’t breathe, I had to take what I could from him and get out quickly due to health issues it was causing me, I didn’t have anywhere else to go and needed the money from selling the home back to Kolby in order to find a new place, so I agreed to his offer because my health was failing.

I was with the understanding the home wouldn’t be resold until it was fixed and clear or mold. That wasn’t the case. I feel some sense of moral liability to tell someone for the sake of the family who bought or rented the home after I left. There is potentially health risks involved but because of my sales contract with Kolby, I can’t personally knock on the door and tell them.

I’m in hopes this will reach the city so they are aware of just one more example of the character this guy has. He has no concern or respect for humans or their health or safety and would rather dupe them for every penny they have than spend it fixing anything.

Thank you for allowing me to share my story.
Stacy Westfahl
