Coming off an upset win over Salt Lake Community College 63-61, the Lady Badgers easily dispatched the Saints of Christian Community College 95-32.
“The win at SLCC was a real confidence booster,” said Zu Grinsell, Coach of Snow College women’s basketball team. “We had a chance to beat them here at home and let it slip away; so the win on their floor is a big one for us.”
The Snow Badgers used that momentum to jump out to an early 25-8 first quarter lead against the Saints and never looked back building the lead to 47-15 at the half and 68-19 after three quarters.
“We played good defense and we put together four good quarters,” said Grinsell. “When we play all four quarters we can play with anyone. I like how this team is coming together and playing well as a team.”
Snow College out rebounded the Saints 38-19 and every player got into the scoring column. Passion Reitz and Samiana Suguturaga each scored 13 points to lead the Badgers. Jenna Czarnecki came off the bench to score nine, Kylie Larsen also off the bench had eight points and Sarah Lange had eight points.
The Badgers will play five of their next six games at home before going on the road to play their last six games of the season on the road. Snow hosts the College of Southern Nevada on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the Horne Activity Center.
