Ephraim rec teams do well

“We sent our best recreation teams up for the tournament where they competed against cities like Spanish Fork, Lehi, andSalem,”city recreation director Michael Patton said. “This was a great accomplishment for a small-town team to go on and win.”

(Above): The Ephraim City third and fourth-grade girls softball team took first place in the Utah Girls Softball Asso- ciation State Tournament July 5-7 at the Spanish Fork Sports Park. Girls are: Giselle Revoir, Paisley Evans, Nora Larsen, Jayleigh Newton, Kelsie Larsen, Jensynn Jackman, Mercy Van- tassel, Averie Barton, Adalynn Ellgen, Remmie Frischknecht, Preslie Reneau, Bostyn Parry. Coaches are Aaron Parry and Richard Newton.
The seventh-eighth grade team took fourth out of the 16 qualifying teams. Back (L-R): Coaches Bob Aguado, and Sara Calderas, players: Ashley Aguado, Bostyn Hallows, Brooke Peterson, Jessica Keisel, Kenzee Cox, Bailey Johnson, Clara Bench, Coach Trace Peterson.
