INDIANOLA—Neighbors in North Sanpete and representatives of Sanpete County fire and EMT companies gathered on Wednesday June 15 at dusk at the Indianola Valley Fire Station to honor the memory of Kari Foster, a member of the Indianola Fire Department.

Indianola firefighters plant a memorial tree for their fellow firefighter, Kari Foster, who died unexpectedly June 11.

Foster passed away unexpectedly at her home in Fairview Ranchos on Saturday, June 11. The memorial, organized by colleagues of Foster, was attended by more than 100 people.

The ceremony included planting and dedication of a memorial tree, a presentation of a flag to the family, poems and music, a candlelight meditation period and a procession of lighted firefighting vehicles past the Foster residence.

The Foster family and the members of the Indianola Valley Fire Department wish to express their heartfelt gratitude for the support and generous sentiments shared at this event.
