Five contestants to compete for Miss Ephraim

EPHRAIM—Five contestants will compete for the Miss Ephraim crown during the Miss Ephraim Scholarship Pageant on Saturday, May 9, at the Snow College Eccles Center.

The pageant will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $7, with children 5 and younger admitted free.

Shaun Kjar will emcee the event. Kamrie Douglas, Miss Ephraim 2025, will make her final walk before passing the crown to this year’s winner.

“Kamrie has been an amazing representative of Ephraim City as Miss Ephraim 2025,” pageant directors Jana Ogden and Kaitlyn Mathews said. “Watching her work with and prepare this year’s contestants has been so rewarding. We know everyone who comes to support these contestants at the pageant is in for a treat. You don’t want to miss it!”

The contestants are:

Adelie Douglas, daughter of Colton and Melanie Douglas. Her platform is “Create Your Own Kind of Beautiful.” She will sing “Think of Me” from “The Phantom of the Opera” for her talent.

Sierra Curtis, daughter of Scott and Diana Curtis. Her platform is “Disconnect to Reconnect.” She will perform a dance solo to “This Moment” by Mimi Webb.

Alany Nuñez, daughter of Antonio Nuñez and Leticia Duarte. Her platform is “You Belong.” She will perform a traditional Mexican dance to “Coco.”

Bailey James, daughter of Dwight and Susie James. Her platform is “Paws with a Purpose.” She will perform a dance solo to “Applause” by Lady Gaga.

Lexi Ogden, daughter of Jana and Craig Ogden. Her platform is “Seeing the Able not the Label.” She will perform a dance solo to a remix of “Drop” by Fatman Scoop.
