MANTI—The Sanpete County Home and Garden Show will return April 24-25 at the Sanpete Events Center at the Sanpete County Fairgrounds in Manti, with organizers planning two days of vendors, classes, food, and family activities centered on home and yard projects.
The Sanpete County Chamber of Commerce and Accurate Mobile Mix Concrete are sponsoring the event.
Event organizers say the show, now in its third year, is designed to connect local residents with businesses, services and ideas related to home improvement, landscaping, and outdoor living. Chamber staff say the event has continued to grow and is intended to give people a place to gather ideas, meet professionals and explore products for upcoming projects.
The weekend will open Friday, April 24, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a Family Fun Night. Organizers say the evening will include bingo sponsored by Aspen Leaf Realty, a magic show by Tyce Walker and barbecue from Roots 89 Roadhouse. They also say proceeds from that portion of the event will help support the Sanpete Pantry Mobile Food Unit.
Saturday’s main show is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The day will feature hourly classes, vendor specials, indoor and outdoor solutions, give-away prizes, and food.
One of the Saturday classes, scheduled from 10 to 10:45 a.m., is titled “Localscapes” and will be taught by Blue Herbst, identified by organizers as a conservation program specialist with the Utah Division of Natural Resources. Organizers say the class will focus on changing the most maintenance-heavy parts of a lawn into landscaping that is easier to care for while still creating an attractive yard.
The show schedule also lists an 11 to 11:45 a.m. class taught by Shari Anderson and a 2 to 2:45 p.m. class taught by Dr. Kyle Christensen. Other classes may still be in the works.
Chamber staff also describe the show as a mix of shopping, instruction, and community activity rather than just a vendor event. Booth listings include multiple exhibit sizes as well as space for food trucks, pointing to a broad lineup of participants.
The show will be held at the Sanpete Events Center, 520 N. 100 East in Manti. See the Sanpete Chamber website for more information.
