GUNNISON— Gunnison Valley High School senior Koler Ludvigson was awarded the Kirk M. Anderson scholarship at the Class of 2022 awards banquet on Wednesday, May 18 at Gunnison Elementary.

The Kirk M. Anderson scholarship was awarded to Koler Ludvigson of Mayfield at the Gunnison Valley High School senior awards banquet. (L-R): Koler Ludvigson, Robbie and Randi Sylvester, Janet Anderson, Brad Duffin, Alisha and Darin Anderson.

Kirk M. Anderson passed away on Feb. 1, 2022. He was a graduate from the high school in 1972, and his classmates wanted a special way to remember him. He was a leader in the South Sanpete School District, where he was the principal at Manti Elementary School, Ephraim Middle School and Gunnison Valley High School.

Koler is from Mayfield and received $1100 to further his education. Many classmates from the class of 1972, along with other Gunnison alumni, donated to the fund.
