
Lady Badger goalkeeper honored by NJCAA

EPHRAIM—Snow College women’s soccer goalkeeper Hanna Johnson received national honors over last week for her performance this soccer season.
Johnson was named an All-American Honorable Mention by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Friday. The freshman goalkeeper was one of the best goal-stoppers in the nation, leading the NJCAA in goals-against average with a .35 allowance percentage, only allowing six goals all season.
Johnson also led the nation in save percentage with .975, and had 84 saves on the season, averaging out to roughly 5.3 saves per game in her 16 starts. She was also in the top 20 in shutouts with six.
“I’m really honored just to get the award and to see all these coaches voting for me,” Johnson said.
Johnson confirmed to the Messenger that she plans to return to Snow next season.
