EPHRAIM – The Lady Badgers basketball team opened their season at home this past weekend when Snow hosted the Snow Classic preseason tournament.

The team took on Arizona Western College of Yuma on Friday night and Seward Community College of Liberal, Kansas on Saturday.

Friday’s game didn’t go the Lady Badgers’ way. They lost to the Arizona Western Matadors, 63-38.

The Lady Matadors raced out to a 24 -7 first-quarter lead and never looked back. Snow finally found its offense in the fourth quarter, when it managed to cut the Matadors’ 30-point-plus lead to 25 points.

The Lady Badgers had a much closer game against the Seward Saints, with a final score of 89-70 for the Saints.

The Lady Badgers will be on the road this week participating in the Salt Lake Classic at Salt Lake Community College. They are scheduled to meet Western Wyoming Community College of Rock Springs and Eastern Wyoming College of Torrington.

The Badgers have another home game in early December.
