The Lady Badgers went on the road Thursday to avenge an earlier conference loss to the Eagles of Utah State University-Eastern and came home with a 57-51 win.

The Snow College women’s basketball team lost at home to USU-E earlier in the season by just two points. This time Snow was able to battle to the end and pick up an important road win in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.
Wins on the road in the SWAC are hard to come by, but the Badgers have picked up two in a row, beating both SLCC and USU-E.
Ashlee Edwards led the Badgers in scoring with 11 points and Addi Johnson added 10 more. Sarah Lange came off the bench to contribute eight points and Passion Reitz and Kennedy Eskelson had six each. Eskelson led the Badger in rebounds with nine and Johnson had six.
Snow College scored 40 of their 57 points in the paint and scored 212 points off Eagle turnovers. The Badger bench also contributed 21 points in the back and forth battle that saw the lead change eight times, with eight ties.
Saturday the Badgers faced the number one team in the conference and came up a little short in the 66-73 loss to the Golden Eagles of the College of Southern Idaho.
The Badgers led by as many as nine points in the first half and held the lead at halftime, 38-35. The Badger lead was gone in the third quarter as Snow was outscored 16-11. The Golden Eagles shooting percentage just got better and better as the game went on and Snow couldn’t match their effort.
Edwards again led the Badgers in scoring with 22 points, 9-11 from the field and 4-5 from beyond the 3-point arc. Eskelson and Samiana Suguturaga each added 10 points. Eskelson again led the team in rebounding with seven and Reitz also had seven rebounds from the point guard position.
Snow College will host USU-E on Thursday with the tip-off scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Horne Activity Center.
