Marley Johnson, daughter of Brett and Kim Johnson of Fairview, received word that she had received second runner-up in the 28T District Lions Peace Poster Contest. District 28T encompasses all Lions Clubs in the state from Provo southward to Kanab.
This year’s theme was “We Are All Connected.” Pictured above is Marley Johnson with her winning poster; North Sanpete Middle School art teacher, Abe Kimball; and local Peace Poster chairman, Yvonne Hansen.
Hansen expressed appreciation for the years that Mr. Kimball has inspired students to think about peace. He encourages them to uniquely create a visual representing their feelings because “the mind paints before the brush.” Marley received a letter of commendation and a check from Lions District 28T.
