Lory Jean Fuller Pratt

Lory Jean Fuller Pratt, 63, of Manti, Utah, passed away on Jan. 19, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born on Jan. 26, 1958 in Salt Lake City to Kenneth Dean and Diana Jo Stephens Fuller.

Lory was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, but grew up in the San Diego area of southern California. She excelled scholastically in high school and became one of two of the first-ever female members of the track team of her high school. She was also a medical assistant for her high school football team and took care of many sideline player injuries. She was also an avid surfer in her teenage years. She attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, where she earned an associate’s degree.

Over several years, she bore nine children and participated significantly in the raising of other children. She loved being a mother and a caregiver and took that role very seriously. Lory married John W. Pratt on Aug. 25, 2004 in Manti, Utah.

Starting at that point that Lory accompanied her husband on many business trips, which gave her the opportunity to travel to many locations in the continental United States, from Florida, to Rhode Island, to Wisconsin, to Oregon, California, and nearly all of the states in between. She enjoyed recording these travels on a map of the United States she kept in her room. In addition to being a devoted mother, she was a conscientious and loving wife and is deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, John; children: Barry, Alma, Cassandra, Karen, Samuel, Timothy, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Hannah; step-daughters: Rose and Phyllis; as well as her sister, Donna Gilmore.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Diana Fuller.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary, Manti.

Cremation services will take place at the Magleby Mortuary Crematory. Funeral Directors:   Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com.
