Manti Elementary students enjoy Veterans Day coloring contest

The Manti American Legion and Auxiliary hosted a coloring contest for Veterans Day with the students at Manti Elementary.

All the grades in the school, with the exception of kindergarten, participated in the activity, said Donna Birk, auxiliary president. The students enjoyed the contest, and along the way, there were discussions on Veterans and the difference that Veterans have made in the U.S., Birk said.
The Legion purchased gift bags and flags, which were given out to the three winners in each class, first through fifth-grades. The winners were selected by school staff.
