Expressing what “peace through service” means to them, five creative students from Sanpete County were chosen as the Fountain Green Lions Club 2020 Peace Poster winners.

The five finalists were chosen from 38 students who submitted posters to the contest at the Fountain Green Theatre on Nov. 10. The theme of this year’s contest was “Peace Through Service.”

The winning students each received a certificate and a check from Yvonne Hansen, chairwoman of the peace poster contest. This is the 22nd year that Fountain Green Lions Club has sponsored the contest, in conjunction with Lions Club International. Hansen said this contest is an amazing way of encouraging peace in our world one child at a time.
