Manti High School speech and debate team takes second place

                The Manti High Speech and Debate Team took second place in their first meet of the season at Emery last Saturday. Coach Eric Peterson said, “We did great, considering we only had four returning team members from last year.”

                Brexton Jensen took second impromptu, third in LD; Grace Draper took first in impromptu and first in public forum; Madi Worthington took second in spar; Anneke Bahlmann took first in public forum; Alex Hansen took third in public forum, third in impromptu; Matthew Lundeberg took first in humorous interp; Donald Southworth took third in policy, third in national extemporaneous; Ramzy Quarnberg took third in policy; Jannah Abdullarim took third in public forum and third in national extemporaneous and Anna Jones took first in orator.
