MAYFIELD— Several scholarships are being awarded to five of the top high school seniors from Mayfield. These students have been active in the community and in high school, along with having high academics.

The Mayfield Lions Club awarded two of the five scholarships, which will be presented to seniors Sarah Liddiard and Kalie Whitlock.
Liddiard started the Mayfield Youth Town Council and a refugee English program. She was chosen as a Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen, and received the Freedom Foundation scholarship at Valley Forge. She will be studying Family and Consumer Sciences at BYU-Idaho and is the daughter of Steven and Alisa Liddiard.
Whitlock is a student body officer at Gunnison Valley High School; plays on the soccer, basketball and track teams; and has been part of many service projects. She will be attending Snow College studying nursing and is the daughter of David and Dustie Whitlock.
The Mayfield Town Scholarship recipient is Koler Ludvigson.
Ludvigson has been a volunteer coach for the little league wrestling program at Gunnison Valley High School and has been on the wrestling and football teams. He will attend Snow College to study secondary education and is the son of Eric and Dawn Ludvigson.
Mary Allred is the recipient of the Margaret Amy Scholarship.
Allred is active in music and plays on the high school soccer team. She has volunteered at the clothing bank, a story time at the library, and has been a part of the Mayfield Youth Council. She will attend Snow College studying English/creative writing, and she is the daughter of Scott and Diana Allred.
Austin Bennett was awarded the Mary Ann Bjerregarrd scholarship.
Bennett has been a member of the Sanpete County Jr. Fairboard since 2009 and participated in service with local youth groups. He will be attending Snow College in the welding technology program. He is the son of Mike and Amanda Bennett.
